Imagination
I know I have talked about it before-but I cannot believe the imagination that Cale has! He can just sit and play forever with his trains or cars and make up these amazing stories of what they are doing, where they are going, what troubles they run into if any (for example this morning, the train was trying to go through the tunnel, but the tunnel was blocked and they had to figure out a way to get through the tunnel-totally awesome). This morning Cale and Jeff turned the couch into a train and had all sorts of adventures. I love it! Cale has also started this thing where he likes to read books to us. He will read books and make up the story sometimes as he goes or if he knows the book really well (like Little Engine that Could) he goes through the book. So cute!
Rocking the potty train!
This past weekend we put Cale into big boy pants full time (except for night time). He has been rocking it since then. He loves to pick out which big boy underwear he is going to wear and also is starting to tell us when he has to go potty! Way to go Cale, mom and dad are so proud of you.
When will you come little one
Oh sweet Aiden, I have to be honest, mommy really thought you would be here by now! I guess I just thought that since your big brother came 2 1/2 weeks early, that you would also come early. When will you decide to come? I do hope it's soon, your mom, dad, big brother and family are so excited to meet you!!!! We love you so much already. Can't wait to hold you, fill your little hand in ours, see what you look like and just love you!

May 2011
Seriously, could this kid get any cuter?
Hanging at the Museum of Transportation
Riding the train, we had to get on it again after we got off because he wanted to ride again
Playing in the sprinkler
May flew by. We did lots of fun stuff like play in the yard in the sprinkler, go to many parks to play, and visit the Muesum of Transportation. Cale absolutely loves this place, seeing all the trains and especially riding the train there. This was my first time going and I thought it was awesome! Here are some pictures from the month.
This momma is over being pregnant
I am almost 38 weeks and I can honestly say that I am done being pregnant. I didn't feel like this with Cale, but am definitely feeling more uncomfortable with this pregnancy. More stretching, burning in the ribs, braxton hicks, and back pain. It's crazy! So, sweet Aiden, if you want to come early, go right ahead. Momma is ready!!! :)
It's almost time
Can you believe that we only have a little over 2 weeks before Aiden comes! This pregnancy has flown by. It's crazy. We have so many feelings about our little ones soon arrival-mostly excitement, some nerves and anxiety as to what it will be like with 2 in making that transition, but mostly excitement. Aiden, mom and dad can't wait to see what you look like, feel you laying on our chest, hold your little hand, see you interact with your big brother, watch you grow, see where God takes you in life and just be your parents. You are already greatly loved by so many and you're not even here yet! We love you so much and can't wait to meet you in person.
Tantrums
Wow, things sure have been crazy with tantrums lately. I know it all goes with the territory of have a toddler, specifically a 2 year old, but it blows my mind how quickly we can go into tantrum mode! Cale can be playing or talking nicely the next minute and then he is yelling no or throwing things or trying to kick or hit the next. Somedays the hardest thing is not listening to him throw a fit, but it's remaining the parent. I kow that I have failed many times and lost my patience. Now don't get me wrong-the good times and fun times with him far outweigh the tantrums, it's just man when he has a fit, he can have a fit! We try to offer him choices before he starts to throw a fit-like would you like to do this or do you want mommy too-but when that doesn't work, then we count to 3 to let him know he has until 3 to listen or he goes to time out and most of the time for right now, we get to 3 and go to time out. I know this stage will pass, but I have to say I am so ready for it to already! Love you my sweet little man, but anytime you want to stop throwing tantrums is alright with your mommy and daddy!
