Picky

Right now we have a picky man on our hands at most dinner meals. He loves breakfast and does ok at lunch, but dinner he is so picky with sometimes, especially vegetables! It is so frustrating. We want to make sure he's getting enough veggies, but he won't eat them. The only he really eats them is if we give him baby food veggies. He always eats those. But real veggies-not so much, even if they are in something, he finds them and spits them out. He can't eat baby food for the rest of his life. Do kids grow out of this? Do you just keep trying to put veggies in front of them? Any ideas?

Outside time

Now that the weather is nice, we have been spending lots of time outside! Last weekend we went to the zoo with Brandi's parents and had a great time walking around there. Today Jeff worked, so Cale and I ventured to the zoo again and to our great surprise, the zoo train was free all day! How cool is that! Normally it is $5 a person. So we did that first. We rode the train all the way around and Cale loved it except for the tunnels-he cried in the tunnels and held on to me for dear life. I didn't mind. I love when he snuggles! Then after the zoo we met up with Jeff's parents and his Aunt Barb, cousin Laura, cousin David and his son Camden. We went to a train store where they had all sorts of tables where you could just play with trains. It was awesome! Cale and Camden had a great time. Needless to say by the time we got home both mom and son needed a nap-Cale slept for 3 hours and so did momma. It was glorious. Here are some pics from the past 2 weekends.

Easter 2010

Praise the Lord, Jesus is Risen. Hope the handful of people that read this blog had a wonderful Easter. We had a great time celebrating with Brandi and Jeff's family. We did lunch with Brandi's family and dinner with Jeff's family. Here are some pictures from the day.

Recent pictures

Cale gets more fun everyday. This weekend he started posing for the camera and smiling. It's adorable. We put him in his Easter outfit this morning and I looked at him and thought oh my goodness he's a little man! Where did my little baby go. He is growing up so fast and we are loving watching his personality develop. He loves to play, wrestle with his daddy, and run his push toys into the wall (I will be surprised if the house is still standing when he's a teenager). Here are some recent pictures.

Cale's vocabulary

Cale said hi this morning! I was getting him out of the van at daycare and said hi to him when I opened the door and he said "hi" back to me and smiled and said it a few more times. It is so fun to watch him grow and listen to him as his vocab increases! He can now say momma, dadda, bye-bye, doggie and hi!
