It's been a while since I have been on here. Life has been crazy just trying to prepare for a second child and keep up with life's day to day schedule. I am exhausted by 8:00 every night! Should be interesting throwing our second kiddo into the mix if I am tired by 8 every night! :) We picked out a name for the sweet baby boy growing inside me. His name will be Aiden Joseph Koziatek. We can't wait to meet him. I can't believe that we only have a little less than 10 weeks before the due date. 9 months sure does fly by. Here's what Cale and us have been up to lately
1)He still loves to sing-sings BINGO, ABCs, the Veggie Tales theme song, Puff the Magic Dragon, songs about trains, and more
2) He is now obsessed with VeggieTales videos-loves to watch them-thank goodness Netflix has multiple Veggie Tales movies on their instant view queue!
3)He talks all the time and I mean all the time. It's amazing, sometimes exhausting to listen to him-he repeats now more than ever so we really have to be careful what we say.
4)He got a big boy toddler bed. He started sleeping in it last Thursday and is doing great in it.
5) We have been loving this warmer weather-I think Cale could live outside. He loves it out there. He loves to walk to the playground near our house with the puppies, loves to play next door with Payton, loves to explore
6)Cale also loves hanging out with his family-he adores his gaga, papa, aunt Mal, aunt Stef (and of course Daphne the puppy too), and grandma and grandpa Koziatek
7)He is understanding more that he is going to be a big brother-he knows that mommy has a baby in her belly and sometimes says "get it out"-it's hilarious. He went to a big brother/sister class this week with our Parents as Teachers program where they taught the kids how to hold a baby, feed, diaper, etc. Cale was most interested in walking by the nursery and seeing the real babies at the end-he thought that was pretty cool. He now knows that his brother's name is Aiden and calls him that and is starting to understand that Aiden will sleep in the crib while he sleeps in the big boy bed.
8)Potty training is hit or miss these days-as frustrating as this is, you can't force a kid to go. He's not as interested as he used to be, however we're still trying and encouraging it. I thought maybe he would be completely potty trained by the time Aiden comes, but don't think that is going to happen and am ok with that-just taking it a day at a time.
9) We (well I should say, mostly Jeff and my dad) are working on the basement. They have already put up walls for a new office for Jeff and the rest of the basement will be a play are for the kiddos once it's done-just have to mud and paint a few walls and build an entertainment center that will also serve as a toy storage area for all the kids toys!
10)Jeff and I had a wonderful long weekend away in Branson a few weeks ago. We did a whole lot of nothing which was great-lots of sleep, lots of relaxing, playing games and watching movies. I could get used to going away with him on more weekends with just the 2 of us! Definitely need to do that more in the future.
Ok, that's all I have for now. I'll post some pictures in the next post.
